Weekly Wow's

Happy Saturday friends!
Well, I have graduates.....of preschool anyways. This week marked the milestone of preschool graduation for my twins. I was truly a proud mommy, as I sat in the cap and gown ceremony and listened to them recite the pledge, count by 10's and list the alphabet with corresponding words. Yes, tears.
She's all girl and he's .... well, all boy!

Here's some wonderful inspiration for you to awe over.

Eat now, play later, that's what I say!
If you play the violin,  you will want to eat this one instead.   Jessi Cakes Blog
Beautiful dresser makeover from Centsational Girl that started as a plain pine IKEA piece with blue burlap added. Have you ever used  fabric on your furniture pieces...this makes me want to...today!!

Have you ever considered hanging a mirror outside in your garden. You could easily hang one on the fence or on your house. Love how the image of the garden reflects in the mirror.

This next table setting from Celebrating Everyday Life gets me in the summer mood with memorial day right around the corner. Nothing beats good ole red, white and blue!

What are you doing this weekend?
Grateful for~

A wonderful preschool year for my twins. Look out kindergarten, here they come!

Weekly Wow's

Hi friends. Happy Saturday. I hope it was fantastic week and that it will be an even better weekend. It's birthday parties, yard work and maybe a mom's breakfast in bed tomorrow, kinda weekend.
A few things caught my eye this week that I wanted to share with you.

Loving this idea, a blooming monogram from Parcel Post.  It may be too late for Mothers Day tomorrow, but would certainly work for any other special occasion or a just because.

Something I try to remember each time my husband or kids walk out the door. You too?
I saw this image and it reminded me that it's okay to think outside the box when it comes to your decorating. Not everything needs to match or be paired up. Are you a " matchy-matchy"  kinda person?

What a cute and clever way to entertain the kids and adults ( if hopscotch is your thing) from Just Imagine.
When's the last time you hopscotched?
No, this isn't me....yet. You see, since I started blogging I have gained 10 pounds. Of course I blame it on blogging but in all honesty, it was me falling off the exercise wagon.  For the last 2 months though, I have been working out with a trainer 3 days a week and watching my carbs and sugar intake. I found some great tips here  that will stop your craving for sugar....if you do that is.
I hope you have a great weekend, doing what you love!
Grateful for~
The 'thought' of sleeping in tomorrow on mother's day!

Weekly Wow's

Hi Friends and Happy Weekend.  First weekend of May and it is suppose to be a rain out here in Northeast Georgia, I guess it's our April showers ....a little late. I am hoping to do a few projects around the house, take the kids somewhere fun and just spend the rest of the time relaxing and loving on the family.

With beach and lake season right around the corner, I couldn't help but notice these nautical inspired spaces. I love the mix of patterns  and those canvas flags.

and this little nook

Isn't this spot dreamy? I think I could sit here all day....if only my kids would let me!  It's French Country Cottage's front porch pergola. Beautiful!
The color caught my eye on this beach inspired dresser from Petticoat Junktion.
What do you get when you mix Cinco de Mayo, a lime and a
mason jar together?
says you get a 115 calorie margarita.
I'm game!
What are you up to this weekend?
Grateful for~
Rainy days

There is something in the water!

I sit back in amazement at some of the amazing things that I see on the web and think to myself
" Oh my goodness, why didn't I think of that "

Where on earth does this creativity come from? I am seriously thinking the water.
 I want some.
You too? Well today I am sharing a few of my collected "Why didn't I think of that" projects with you . Ideas that will inspire you and quite frankly leave you thirsting for more.

Use some glow in the dark spray paint on your outdoor planters for a cool lighted effect at night.
Thought your hot iron was just for your hair...think again. Use it to smooth out ribbon and the hard to reach spots on your shirts.

If you are a painter like me you'll love this one. Prior to painting, apply some glue around your cuticles and nails to get paint off your fingers during cleanup easier.
If you are looking for a way to store and use twine or string here's two brilliant and stylish ideas for you.

So tell me, do you want some water?
PS- I will be back on Saturday for my Weekly Wow's.

Weekly Wow's

Happy Saturday. I hope it was a great week for all of you and that you have something special planned for your weekend. Perhaps it's catching up on some sleep, working in the yard, visiting with friends or family or just doing nothing. Maybe it's working on a project. If you are looking for something new to do this weekend, here's a few ideas to get you going.

Nancy at Artsy Chicks Rule hit a home run with this beautiful sideboard transformation.  I have yet to add graphics like this to any of my projects, have you?  If I do, I only hope it can turn out this pretty.
Keeping with the French theme, Debbie from Confessions of a plate addict created this amazing linen and burlap vintage Eiffel tower inspired pillow. And look at how she wrapped her books!  Have you ever been to France?
Seeing a funnel cake always makes me think of the fair. You too?
I can remember eating these delicious little cakes and always wanting more. Now.... I can't help but think of the calorie content that I was ingesting.
If calories aren't your worry, then you will like twigg studios easy recipe to make home made funnel cakes at home.
Don't throw out those old perfume bottles just yet.
I love the idea of using old perfume bottles as vases for cut flowers. image credit
I sure do hope you enjoy the weekend, doing what you love and surrounding yourself with the people that you love. See you next week!
Grateful for~
A rainy Saturday to immerse myself in family love.

Weekly Wow's

Happy Saturday!
Okay here in Georgia the pollen count was 8000 the other day. Yellow coating on everything.  It's not even worth the effort to hose or sweep things down, cause it comes back ...within seconds.  They say that a 400 count is "extreme", So what exactly does 8000 mean anyways??
Luckily we dodged the allergy bullet....so far.
This weekend does kick off the annual start of yard work around here. So while I am out cutting grass, as far as your eye can see, you may want to work on one of these inspiring and amazing projects.

Is this not the cutest wreath since this, that you have every seen? Kim at Serendipity Refined put together this adorable yarn wrapped kite wreath.
I love the use of natural elements to use in our decor at home. Look at how Ashbee Design used logs to create beautiful vases. This may  inspire you to take a nature walk today to see what you can bring inside!

Daisey Mae Belle created this beautiful Spring wreath out of faux asparagus ferns. So pretty and fresh. I admit I also love that blue dutch door!
My head spends in awe every time I see this bicycle clock that Kariane created over at Thistlewood Farms.  Isn't that just amazing!
Got 4 minutes and a sweet tooth. Sure you do!  How about trying this 4 minute mason jar carrot cake from It All Started with Paint. Delish! Do you like carrot cake as much as I do?
I will be back next week with a furniture transformation project and a yummy of my own! Have a wonderful weekend doing what you love, with the people that you love!
ps- do you follow me on Pinterest. If not, you need to! click here

Grateful for~
1. The chance to spend some time with dear friends this week that I love very much. Safe travels to them as they head back to Alaska.
2. Celebrating the successes of amazing friends that I have made along my blogging journey.

Weekly Wow's

Spring and Easter have clearly been on my mind this week and as I was cleaning out my closet and "regretfully" tried on a pair of shorts ...... GASP. It is definitely not time for these winter white legs to see the light of day yet. But unfortunately, when the temps start climbing into the 60's and 70's, I may look a tad but ridiculous in my my sweat pants!
Perhaps I will go outside this weekend, in shorts, and start working on my tan and a few of these amazing projects.

Eclectically Vintage shares a simply Spring Centerpiece from Cat Grass. Cat Grass? I had no idea what Cat Grass was until I saw her post- did you?
Reposhture  transforms pieces of drop cloth thread into a beautiful birds nest.

Fern Creek Cottage transforms an armoire into a beautiful  piece using Duck Egg Blue
And because we all need to dry our hands, Daisy Mae Belle created the cutest DIY stamped hand towels.
Whether you are playing in the sun or the snow this weekend, I hope you have a great weekend.
Grateful for~
Spring like weather!
