Weekly Wow's and Paper

Happy Weekend friends! When I was putting together my wow's this week it  unintentionally fell into a general theme....paper. Looking at these amazing projects that all were used with such a valuable resource, it makes me think how often we overlook things that are right in front of us and most times readily available...until today.

Hope you find some inspiration in .....paper.

Weekly Wow's

Happy Weekend friends!  This has been a great week spent with my kids and husband on Spring Break, and although we were limited on what we could do because of Lily's fractured foot....we made the best of our time together....as it should be.

And in between the bumper cars, eating ice cream with endless toppings, adding on to the kids outdoor fort and sneaking in kisses and hugs from me, I couldn't get enough of .......

This Dad's journey on how he coped with the loss of his young son and is dealing with his grief. You can follow his story here.

This room and gallery here.....it just makes me happy!

Grilled pound cake...say it isn't so! Recipe can be found here.

Seriously cute for a bar or kitchen area. Ice bucket pendant light.

Cocktail worth trying for you and for the kids here

Next vacation...beach ( with or without broken bones)  so I can pick some shells up to make this.

Today we are doing a bit of this...well a lot of this.

What are you up to? Make it a good one whatever it is.
By the way, I am working on some updates to my blog, so things might look a little different for a bit.

Grateful for~

Weekly Wow's...and friendships

Happy Friday to you! This week I was so blessed and fortunate to spend some time with my family in South.Florida. What was also amazing, was that I got to connect with friends that I had not seen in many, many years. I have been friends with these girls for more than 30 years and just sitting with them..... for hours,  reinforced for me what true friendship really means.

Such a gift.
We also celebrated the life of my niece Jessica at a Paint party in her honor, on what would have been her 24th birthday. This is the group of us holding our paintings of Jessica when she was younger with her horse.

Special night.

Here's some amazing ideas that I found this week.

Looking for some inexpensive art ideas? Try applying coasters to some cardstock and then frame.

Gorgeous...Butcher Paper Wreath. Tutorial here

How fun is this colorful desert here

Great idea ... include some colored eggs in your spring floral arrangements.

source unknown

When adding a pop of color.... try adding it inside the cabinets instead of outside. This approach also provides such an unexpected surprise.

When's the last time you connected with an old friend? How about today.
Hope you have an amazing weekend!

Grateful for~
The chance to see Ana, Lisa and Alex

Weekly Wow's

Happy Friday...Happy Spring...Happy Everything!

For anyone who has ever wanted Ruby red slippers shoes...here you go

Oh my...beautiful. Tutorial here. And in case you missed my succulent gardens this week, you can catch up here.

My kids love these. Now I can stop spending money and make my own from here

Speaking of kids....best read all week here. If you have kids or know someone who does, you must read this.

After seeing this picture, I bet you will plant some of these for next spring, right.....in every color.

I enjoyed myself touring this beautiful home. You will too!

We will be working on finishing the kitchen cabinets, squeezing in a birthday party and attending a Cub scout banquet this weekend. My little Wolf is becoming a Bear.
What are you up to? Whatever it is....make sure it's amazing.

Weekly wow's

Happy Friday friends! It's been quite a week around Top This Top That and I am so happy that the weekend has arrived successfully with no more broken bones or viruses in the house. With the official start of spring a week away, it's hard to contain my excitement for my favorite season of the year, when I am surrounded by beautiful sights like this......  the Bradford Pears in bloom.  Despite the unpleasant odor, aren't they just magnificent?

Here's some other things that made me excited when I saw them.

Amazing DIY kitchen island here

Totally cool DIY art work here

Beautiful Spring arrangement....in a jar

If you have lost someone in your life....this may bring you comfort. I know it does me.

Brilliant from here

Weekly Wow's

Nothing could have prepared me for the week that my household has had. Not even this....

Little did I know that my household would have a similar 'Royal Carribean' cruise experience .....just on a smaller scale and not on the water, called Rotavirus. It actually got it's start last week with my little girl for 2 days, and then decided to attack the rest of the family starting on Monday with the boys and dad, and following up with me on Wednesday. I am sorry, you can spray your household products, open the windows and not touch each other, but once it's present.... at least 2 days in bed. My house anyways.
To see more info and prevention tips click here.

So, I managed to get on the computer on day 3 while on the couch and spotted some amazing inspiration that made even a sick gal smile.....hope you to.

Campbell soup can...really? Amazing!

Seriously cool for the outdoor patio. Wish I knew the source cause I would give them a fist bump on this one.

Update- After I published this,  a sweet reader ( thank you)  sent me a link to more details about constructing that cool solar lamp here

Real simple and pretty way to display spring flowers from here

or a perfect alternative to the real thing from here

Incredible shot of nature, nurture and photography

So, what tricks do you have for keeping the crud out of your house?
I hope you have an amazing weekend. Sick free of course!

Weekly Wow's

So long February, hellooooo March.
Ready for an active month..... Mardi Gras, Daylight Savings, First day of Spring and St.Patricks Day? I don't know about you, but lately I have enjoyed the extra couple of mins of day light ....... I am in need of some serious vitamin D.  This weekend, we are hoping that the temps don't get to chilly, as we need to complete the spraying of our kitchen cabinets in our makeshift paint shop set up in the garage. For the latest update click here

Here's a few things that caught my eye this week.

Who's thinking summer?

Please tell me I am not the only one who has been doing this wrong for all these years!

Sheets turned curtains from NallesHouse

The next time friends come over for coffee talk, I am making this.

From the colors to the headboard .....perfect.
source unknown

I agree

What are you up to this weekend? Whatever it is, make sure to make the most of it. See you back here next week!

Grateful
The crud only lasted 24 hours in the house
