Happy Weekend! I hope those friends that are up north have finally dug out of the tundra and can finally see where the car is parked. Can you believe all that snow! I hope you are staying warm and cozy where you are. Thinking this could work somewhere in the house.
A creative idea from here to add interest and color to an otherwise boring beige or white washer and dryer. I love this!
I am writing this post and bundled up, as temps here in Georgia are 17.6 degrees out right now. That's a bit chilly for us chicks in the South. I am thinking that if it is going to be this cold then it might as well snow....right?
Glad I can check everything off this list. Can you, whether you are........ approaching 50 (like me), over 50 or not even close to 50?
Well, at this point you are either running around like a wild women.... or man, finishing up any last minute shopping, baking or decorating.....or sitting back and happy that it's all done and ready. Don't be a hater. I promised myself that this would be the most stress free December ever, and it was.
Speaking of last minute, I pulled together some ideas to get you through the next week...if you didn't happen to make that same promise.
Quick and easy treat. I had a get together recently and someone brought these yummy bite size treats.
School got out yesterday for the holidays, so yesterday for the class parties I put together goodie bags using dollar store bags, candy that I froze after Halloween and these super cute tags fromhere.
So much for just taking in December and just chilling out.....this is still going on BUT hope to have this room finished this weekend. At the 11th hour, I decided to add a pop of color in blue on the adjacent wall. This was last night when I was doing some trim work
Well, The good news is..... my Christmas cards got mailed yesterday. The bad news.... I ate more then my share in Christmas cookies!
This week I was part of something more special then any DIY project parade. I joined some pretty special bloggers and shared what thanks at home means to us. If you missed any of it, including mine, it will be worth reading each of the incredible stories and messages. You can find the link here.
Happiest of Fridays to you. Hope you had a great week. We are in full blown fall season. Fairs, festivals and fall like temps are around us. I am a tad bit excited about hitting the Country Living Fair today. I have been waiting for this event every since the moment I drove home from last years event. Should be a great time.
Happy Friday sweet friends! Fallish temps are present in North East Georgia. How about where you live? This week I tried to do everything I could to avoid the news. Don't know about you, but the whole Ebola situation completely freaks me out. A virus that we know little about, limited to no vaccinations available, misdirection and innocent people getting infected....and some succumbing to this virus. What are your thoughts? These amazing projects brought some well needed distraction from it all.
I know, I am a bit of a slacker this week meeting up with you on a Saturday morning. I was suppose to show you the interior of the Lake House this week that I showed you here......but I will do that on Monday. No excuses....just this little thing we call life. Here's a sneak peak of the kitchen.
Happy Weekend! Hope you all had a marvelous week. So, initially I was enjoying the no phone and internet access in the house but now it is going on 9 days and.... I am ready. We had a most wicked storm that took out the transformer, our satellite and completely fried the TV in the den. I have had to schmooze up to hubby to post a few things this week, and I am hoping that we are back on track next week. Until then, here's some things that caught my eye this week.... while on my phone in the car ride line. Need to put these on the Christmas list.
Okay, shout with me Fri-Day, Fri- Day, Fri-Day! Congrats, You made it through what I hope was a great, productive and happy week. Around here this week, I am happy to report there was no loss of chicken life, an abundant amount of sunflowers peeking at me from the garden and my donkeys hee-hawing from the pasture. It's all good. Speaking of which, here's some good ideas to get your creative mojo's in gear for the long weekend.
I love this idea of adding color behind the board from BHG
This concept is a bit too weird for me. Curious what you think.
Happy Friday Friends! It has been an amazing week. My mom arrived yesterday for an 8 week stay with us from Florida. Looking forward to having her here and being able to spend time with the kids. My niece drove her up so I will be spending time with her this weekend before she leaves on Sunday...sigh. Here's some amazing projects and ideas to get your weekend started.
Happy weekend...well almost. Was it a great week for you, hope so. We are finally are getting some much needed rain this morning and I am packing it up to head to Asheville for a conference. Looking forward to driving up with this sweet blogging friend and chatting all the way up to the mountains. Wanted to kickoff the weekend with some amazing things that caught my eye this week. If my green thumb continues next season, I may have to whip one of these up for the front of the property just like Andrea did.
Love the idea of a cover for the fire pit from here.
Something we all may need to know at some point...for some, multiple times.
I am thinking I am up for another wall paper project after seeing this...love the color combination.
no source Something to bake for the weekend from here
I love this idea, using house numbers for drawer pulls.
Have a great weekend doing what you love and surrounded by the people that you love!
For hubby holding down the fort this weekend while I am away

Was it me or did this week just completely fly by! I mean, it just seems like last night that I was watching Andi Dorfman, the Bachelorette, sending that sweet Iowa farmer, packing for his cornfields back home. sigh. If you are a fan of the show, who's your pick? Inspiration for your Weekend.
Hope you had a great week. My sweet sweet children who haven't fought with each other, screamed at each other, spilled paint all over the garage, spilled red fruit punch on the floor and ate way to many snacks this summer, go back to school in 3 weeks, 2 hours 15 mins....but who's counting. Besides they are just so precious.
Sometimes filling the summer calendar means including some lazy days to not do much, which is nice too, although those are the days that the above is more likely to occur. Here's some amazing projects that I found this week.
Happy Friday! Was it a good week? Did you work smart, play hard and love more? Hope so...I did. Hard to believe the month is winding down. I am hoping that July goes at a snails pace since my kids go back to school the 1st of August. Nooooooooooo....Not yet! Here's some amazing stuff to get your weekend started.
Happy Friday friends. If you follow me on Instagram or facebook you may have seen this post this week "I have decided that I will not clean the house until the kids go back to school...pointless."
Well, I am on day 3 and so far ....no cleaning. It is actually quite liberating and relaxing to see the house get "kidded up" and just sit back and watch. Ahhhh. I don't know exactly how long I can last, but I will enjoy it while I can. Make sure to follow along to see my progress....and or my mess. Here's a few things that caught my eye, while I was sitting around watching the house get destroyed this week. I love this idea of using bandanas for bunting.
Happy Friday. I expected to be in Washington DC this weekend, but due to a conflict at home, instead I am watching kid movies and cleaning up a paint mess in the garage. This my friends, is the twins interpretation of "summer time fun".
Lesson learned, do not leave unattended paint cans in the garage with very active 5 year olds ! "We just wanted to see what color it was mommy...honest" The only reason I am not super upset is, repainting the garage floor is a summer project we are intending to do anyways, but thanks to the kids, we can cross that project off the list. Here's some amazing projects that may make it to your list. Super cute for kids wall, from here
